Mitsubishi EDM is proud to introduce the MV4800-S Advance, the latest addition to the popular MV Series EDM family.

This machine’s standout feature from previous models is its increased travel, making it ideal for larger part production.  The MV4800 Advance features an extensive travel of 31.5” x 23.6” x20.0” and can machine workpieces up to 53.1” x 43.3” x 20.0”.

The MV4800 is capable of submerged cutting up to 20.0 inches deep with full support of the best auto-threading system on the market today. With an annealing length of over 27 inches, this system is capable of threading the maximum workpiece height both at the start point and through the gap if needed for a broken wire recovery.

Highlights of this machine include a Digital Matrix Sensor (DMX-S) and V350-V generator that shape each spark to improve surface finish, reduce vibration and minimize electrode wear. This allows for a lower wire speed, reducing wire cost by as much as 60 percent.

This added size combines with cost-saving design elements to make the MV4800 Advance the best dollar-per-square-foot EDM investment on the market.
